Parenting Classes at the Family Resource Center at Emma

Love & Logic Parenting Classes
Children First of Buncombe County will be offering a Love and Logic parenting course on Mondays, from 5-7 p.m., at the Family Resource Center at Emma, 37 Brickyard Road (on the campus of Emma Elementary School), Asheville, NC 28806. The course begins February 4, 2008 and runs for seven sessions. Cost for the course is a sliding fee scale and scholarships are available. Seating for the course is limited. Do you have children that are constantly arguing with each other? Do your children talk back to you? Learn parenting techniques from the local “Super Nanny” by attending the Love & Logic classes and put fun back into parenting. This seven week course will review various parenting skills and teach how to diminish a situation instead of bringing anger into a situation.
 

Positive Action Classes
Children First of Buncombe County will be offering a Positive Action course on Tuesdays, from 5-7 p.m., at the Family Resource Center at Emma, 37 Brickyard Road (on the campus of Emma Elementary School), Asheville, NC 28806. The course begins February 19, 2008 and runs for seven sessions. Cost for the course is a sliding fee scale and scholarships are available. Seating for the course is limited. Registration will be held January 28th through February 15th. To register, contact the Family Resource Center at Emma at 828-252-4810 or stop by from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

The Positive Action course is designed to teach skills and techniques for positive thoughts that lead to positive actions that lead to positive feelings. These positive elements help transform yourself into a positive individual, effective parent and productive employee.
