Children First Receives Thanksgiving Food Boxes from Local Civic Club

Children First Family Resource Center at Emma received a large donation of food boxes for the Thanksgiving holiday from the Rotary Club of Asheville West on Monday. “This is a great opportunity to be able to help those in need and to give back to the community,” said Vickie Gaddy, president of the Rotary Club of Asheville West.

The donation will provide a traditional Thanksgiving meal to at least 15 families of four. The families receiving the assistance are from the Emma community that currently participate in the Family Resource Center at Emma food pantry and have also been identified as families in need from Emma Elementary School.
